Tanja Räsänen is a Finnish conductor and clarinettist. She has studied at the Sibelius Academy and participated in several masterclasses (incl. with Jorma Panula, Tsung Yeh, Bjarte Engeset, Eivind Gullberg Jensen and Jonathan Brett).
She is currently living in Sandvik in Norway and acts as the artistic director and conductor of the Nittedal og Hakadal Janitsjar and Regionkorps Øst orchestras. She has conducted several line-ups from symphony orchestras to brass bands (incl. the MAV Symphony Orchestra, the Radom Chamber Orchestra, the Manger Musikklag Brass Band and the Rakuunasoittokunta Military Band). In 2014, she won second prize at the International NWBC Conductors’ Competition.
