Jonas Ehrler


Jonas Ehrler was born 1992 in Wettingen (CH). He completed his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Orchestral Conducting at the Zürich University of the Arts (ZHdK) with Prof. Johannes Schlaefli. In 2016, his Bachelor's project in which he performed the chamber opera "The Corridor" by Harrison Birtwistle was awarded the promotion prize of the ZHdK for outstanding projects. Ehrler has participated in conducting workshops and masterclasses with Bernard Haitink, Esa-Pekka Salonen, David Zinman, among others. He was the winner of the Audition for assistant conductor of Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre de Picardie and Orchestre National d’Île-de-France for the upcoming season. Ehrler is also the co-founder of the Zeitfestival Zürich.
