Kaspars Adamsons

Kaspars Adamsons is a Latvian conductor who studied orchestral conducting with Prof. Paul Mägi at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre from 2010 – 2011. He also studied orchestral conducting at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm with Prof. Daniel Harding in 2011 – 2012. 

Since 2014 he has worked as the artistic director of the United Youth Symphony Orchestra of Riga Music Schools and as the chorus master of the Latvian National Opera. In 2005, he won the first prize and received the Choir Special Award at the Choir Conducting Competition ‘Towards Polyphony’ in Wroclaw, Poland. In 2014, he won the special prize for outstanding conductor at the 28th International Choir Competition ‘Praga Cantat 2014’.
